I mean all you need to know is that I'm really fucking fat. The reason my blog is called 127 pounds is because that's how much a printout from the doctor said I needed to lose. That's super daunting.
What doctor are we talking about? A doctor/nutritionist that took my blood to find out what foods are particularly inflammatory to me. Inflammatory was like the word of the day. The gist being most of the diseases and ailments we have is do to inflammation and our diet and environment cause most of that. It sounds a little more involved than let's say WW, but I need some plan. Some accountability. So let's go with this.
Since it will take 2 weeks for the blood test results to come back, the Dr. put me on a generic two week detox. It's kind of like a stricter Whole30 with a ton of supplements and "detox" stuff.
So this cheese loving girl is going to go cheese-less for at least 2 weeks. :::sigh:::
I told the doctor I would do it, but I had already planned what I was going to have for lunch and dinner that day and it wasn't detox. She said we can start tomorrow. So one last fun food day of turkey hoagies and eggplant parmesan. Oh how I will miss you.
My Goals:
1. Live long enough that my grandchildren really know me. Since my oldest child is five this should take a while.
2. Have enough energy to really play with that five year old and my three year olds. Games of tag, jumping rope, riding roller coaster type of fun.
3. Have a healthy eating and active lifestyle become routine and not something I start and stop.
4. Find alternatives to food when I am bored, sick, stressed, celebratory etc.
5. Lose as much of that 127 pounds as I can so...
6. When I turn 40 in two and a half years I will be the healthiest I've ever been.
Daunting. But Doable.
